Thank you so much for your interest in visiting Bride & Bustle!
We know this is a very exciting time in your life, so below we have answered a variety of popular questions that will help you prepare for your visit!
This is my first time trying on gowns! What should I know before coming in to try on wedding dresses at Bride & Bustle?
In our experience, it is best to start your wedding dress search once you have the wedding date and venue decided – it helps to visualize the dresses in your setting and season to help decide which look works best for your big day!
Our appointments last one hour in length on weekends. If you have never tried on gowns before and would like additional time to find the style that you feel best in, we are happy to make longer appointments available Tuesday-Friday upon request.
Our salon is on the intimate side and we can accommodate up to 6 guests. We have learned over time that the smaller the group, the easier the appointment can be!
Do I need to bring anything to the appointment?
Nothing is required for your appointment; however, we recommend wearing comfortable, nude colored undergarments and a strapless bra (or stickies)! Shoes are not necessary, but it can help to know your preferred heel height!
Does the appointment cost anything?
There is a $50 fee for all first time appointments at our boutique. We require a credit card be kept on file when initially booking the appointment, however the fee will not be charged until the time of check-in. If you do end up saying YES to the dress, this amount will be credited back towards your purchase! Due to the size of our boutique and the limited number of appointments available, we ask for 24 hours’ notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule, otherwise the $50 fee will be charged. We do not charge for follow-up appointments!
We do also offer private appointments for $150. If you would prefer to be the only bride at B+B, we will close the store down and cater solely to you! These appointments last an hour and a half and as you will be the only appointment in the boutique, we can allow up to 8 guests! To start the appointment off right, we provide every guest with a glass a champagne and the bride chooses the music! Please inquire for more details!
What is the price range of your gowns?
We have over 10 bridal gown designers, and the prices range between $1,500-$7,000. The average price of our gowns is approximately $2,500-$3,500.
What is the turnaround time for ordering a new bridal gown?
All of our designers make their gowns to order and have a standard 12-20 week lead time. The ideal time to order your dress is 8-10 months prior to your wedding day. We do have a few designers who offer a shorter lead time, and rush options may be available for select styles and designers.
What sizes are the gowns that you sample at Bride + Bustle?
Most of the samples in our boutique are a bridal size 12. This is a recommended size from the designer, as it allows different shapes and sizes of brides to try on a range of samples. We do know that it can be hard to envision yourself in a dress that does not fit you, however we have clips and fabric inserts to help with the process. We do stock a handful of gowns in larger and smaller sizes to offer a range of fits. Please call us or email us if you have specific sizing questions and we will do our best to help you!
What is a trunk show?
Trunk shows are special events we host throughout the year to debut a featured designer’s most recent collection. Although we do have many dresses to try on at Haute Bride from each designer, the entire collection is not always available at our boutique. It’s a great opportunity to see the entire line, meet the designer (if they are scheduled to come), and to take advantage of discounts and incentives being offered that weekend!
Can we bring champagne?
Is there really a bridal appointment without a champagne toast? We think not, so YES! We allow our guests to bring one bottle of champagne, and we will provide the glasses!
Anything else? Please feel free to email us! We look forward to seeing you!
